Another weekend been and gone and another big loss for welsh rugby! Oh well. Managed to catch some cricket at the weekend but we don't have sky so we have to find a pub that is showing the ashes...Managed to catch up with PJ and Andy Mackay at a real cricket match on Saturday - batting and bowling respectively. Steve took lots of photos of the match but I wont bore you with those - have instead attached views of sunset, one of a Gannet colony on the West coast we visited and one of the pub quiz team celebrating our major win of $500.

didn't make it to Rangitoto (dormant volcano) as thought it best to leave a summit walk to when we have both attained a higher level of fitness.

On Sunday we went to the Auckland city xmas parade - it was a gorgeous sunny day and it was very strange to see floating xmas trees and Santa riding by.
All in all it was a lovely weekend weather wise and we felt like we were on holiday. Steve finishes school in a week and we will venture further afield...North south and west of the north island for definite..But may leave South Island for the winter months.
