It’s snowing a blizzard down in the south of the South island so everyone is heading to Queenstown to ski and snowboard. Ironically their winter festival had to be cancelled due to that much snow and wind!
Well – what have we been up to?
Went to see All blacks v France – which was my first time seeing the ABs…watched them at home in Eden Park terraces – great atmosphere, ok game (they pretty much hammered France) but just wonderful to be in NZ watching them. It was somewhat spoilt by annoying drunken English people/ louts sat behind us who acted like soccer hooligans rather than good natured rugby fans. The level of swearing was atrocious and it just spoilt it a bit, so we are going to buy more expensive tickets this time to try and avoid idiots like that..
We went out for a nice tapas meal for Steve’s birthday and I bought him a kite that he tried to fly last weekend but to no avail…we left it too late in the afternoon and missed most the daylight and wind! See piccie below:

We went to see Owen and Lavinia and their beautiful new baby-Olly – who was very well behaved – see piccie.

We have met a few more people and been socialising abit more - which is really nice. I missed my Friday drinks after work..so now we have some drinking buddies - Auckland is slowly starting to feel like home. Except we dont have fleas at home = but thats for another time!
Take care. Enjoy the sunshine.
