Steve and I are back in Auckland and have survived Xmas and New Year in New Zealand. Hope you all had a lovely time also - you were in our thoughts.
What to report back, well we did loads and its so much to go over. Auckland - Rotorua - Napier - Masterton - New Pymouth - Waitamo - Auckland! Suffice to say - Rotorua was smelly, Napier had lots of wine, Masterton - xmas with friends and kids, New Plymouth - NYE BBQ with friends and kids!
Its nice to be home! Some photos for you if u are interested:
Leaving Auckland on our travels with the trailer in the rain - ahhh summer in enzed!

Arriving in Rotorua and the trailer has been set up! We slept in this for four nights - never, ever again!!!!!

Having fun at the Rotorua Agrodome! We saw sheep, sheep dogs and lambs!!! Steve took about thirty photos and I just oggled the rather handsome sheep shearing host "Steve", believe it or not! We had fish for dinner that night...

Rotorua's Geo-thermal area - 'Wai O Tapu" amazing place!

Hawkes Bay - our fist stop out of five on our windery tour, still sober!

Winery number four and we are feeling the love!

Xmas Day!
Full of the xmas spirit at turning 36 on xmas day!

Xmas lunch

Trips round and about Masterton;
Wellington Parliament - the Beehive

Mount Bruce Reserve
Silver fern coily thingy... A very artistic shot I thought!

We saw the elusive Kiwi at Bruce, but couldnt take photos inside

New years day 2007- practising parenthood with Sylvia and Tony's new baby on New Plymouth sea front.

Later that day at Mount Taranaki/Mt Egmount with Tony, Sylvia, Fergus (their first born)

Steve and I in the Glow worm cave in Waitamo - very pretty/interesting,( Japanese tourist nearly bust the camera as he dropped it, when I asked him to take photo- oops - its fine now.)
The glow worms were there , honest, but again we couldnt take photos of them..

After Waitamo we headed home weary and looking forward to being "at home". The weather has been great in Auckland since we arrived and we have been on the beach and met Andy McKay for lunch - he says "hi"
We have bought tickets for The Big Day Out on 19 Jan ( a pressie to ourselves) - Kasabian, the Killers, Violent Femmes and lots of Kiwi/Aussie bands are playing a big festival day at Mount Smart Stadium. Not sure how it will work as there are about thirty artists playing in total... other than that not much planned except just enjoying the hot weather and chilling by the beach...I am looking for work - very quiet at the moment on the job front as everyone in Auckland is off on hols.
L & S x
