Tuesday morning and Steve has gone back to work..we both overdid it on the sunbathing yesterday and steve is a lovely beetroot colour. Gorgeous weather here by day but heavy rain at night - had a leak in bathroom but no damage.

Weekend went well - we flat hunted on Sat and finally found an apartment to rent. We move in on the 11th Feb - about two weeks time. Its not in the same area as we are in now - so no beach - but we do have a pool (shared with about fifty other flats!) Its unfurnished so we have to start thinking about trawling the second hand shops for furniture, we cant afford new stuff and its not worth it if we are going to come back in two years.. The flat is in Mount Eden - which is quite central location and very close to Steves school, its a pretty location and mount eden village is a five min walk with bars and shops to hand. Will post some piccies when we move in.

No job yet - but applied for two last week and still waiting to hear on two applications from beginning of Jan. I will sign up to some recruitment agencies tomorrow just in case - maybe they have something for me. The holiday is over now and time to get serious:(

Waiting for pay day so we can go out and celebrate the new flat! Went out for a drink on Friday with Mark and friends in Parnell which was nice - we sat out in the beer garden the whole night which was great ( sorry, I know its cold over there!) Just mooched around on the beach sunday and monday trying to make the most of living so close to a beach before moving away..hence the sunburn. Im on factor 30 and still burning - steve insists on not wearing any suncream for some reason and now he is suffering - staff photo tomorrow, so serves him right!

Watched two DVDs on weekend - Walk the Line and Garden State - can recommend both. The Mac lap top comes in very handy as we can watch DVDs on it etc. ( We bought it with wedding vouchers so thanks for that!!!)

Our shipping boxes are due mid feb so we are looking forward to unpacking all the crap we packed back in September! God knows whats in there! Again - we packed most of the stuff we bought with wedding vouchers so at least we will have some new housy stuff for the new flat - who needs a bed when u have a state of the art Le crouset whisk!!!!

Take care all - email us with 2007 news soon! :)
