The weekend again and we have been fairly quiet this week. Went to Owen and Lavinias for dinner on sunday and been mooching about at home in the evenings this week - recovering from last weekend - two very druken late nights. Booked flights to wellington in two weekends time and theatre tickets for next weekend - sir ian mckellan aka gandolph is in town so thought we would grab some culture.

Been planning ( in theory only) our summer holiday trip when steves parents come out ( mid jan) and thinking of things to do when si and lorns get over here. We want to head to the South Island this summer and do milford sound and nelson/blenheim - its going to be expensive tho! i may have a trip to sydney with work but its 50/50 at the moment so i wont hold my breath - would be great tho to have a free trip!

Ooh - forgot to say i finally took the plunge and courtesy of working in a hospital, i went to see the stop smoking people and am on day three of 21mg nicotine patches - finally surrended to the fact that i cant give up on my own....so far so good. its more the habit of having a cigarette than the nicotine that is hard to overcome...

emily and mark are buying a house so are leaving the flat so have been trying to sort new tenants - hence the email to London based friends. no luck so far but may have to bite the bullet and get mgt company to sort out...any "congrats to mark and emily and watch out herne hill"!

my mum is off to New Jersey at the end of august to live.. so "good luck" to her and tevfik..
