Great news! I have a new job. Working as a Project Administrator for the Clinical Education Training Unit - still at Auckland Hospital but more pay and more challenge. And the good news is no more washing up or making tea and coffee! Yippee. I am very happy and it all happened very quickly end of last week - I had an informal interview and they offered me the job there and then.
Steve is still away, he is on school camp somewhere nr a volcano in the centre of the north island - I think it is dormant - hope so anyway, spoke to him yesterday and he is having more fun than the kids. The school owns a lodge and outdoor pursuits centre and the are it is in turns into a ski resort come winter - so I’m sure I will be seeing it soon - staff can stay at really cheap rates. Oh and it has a bar, apart from the skiing that’s incentive enough for me.
My friend Katie is visiting this weekend - she arrives Thursday. Katie is who we spent xmas with and this time she is leaving kids with dad so we can have a child free weekend together. I better plan something to do!
I bought a dining table and chairs on trade me yesterday after a glass of wine - I haven’t told Steve yet! I’m sure he will be fine about it NOT. I have spent my overtime money about threefold and it hasn’t even arrived in the bank account yet. :| Well if he will go away!
the plumber finally arrived yesterday, I haven’t been waiting in all this time, i hasten to add. God knows if the sink works now I don’t think he even fixed the right thing.
Anyhoo - I start my new job on 1st June with a week handover while i do my current job and also while that is happening I am going to handover to the person who replaces me... confused - I will be!
Steve’s birthday on 29th so I have think of pressie for him - I have something in mind.
Love to all - take care and I will get Steve to update u on life at camp, he was going to take the camera which would have been good as its supposed to be pretty, but i see the camera behind me - so he obviously forgot.
