Nearly the weekend here and we have settled in the new flat, having been in here a week now. No more visits from the housing committee so thats good news. We seem to have a noisy upstairs neighbour but apart from that all good here. Lots more space and it just feels more comfortable.
I start work on Monday - what a shock to the system that will be - after nearly 4 months of not working. I'm looking forward to having somwehere to be and something to do, though. Unfortunately there deosnt seem to be great transport from the flat to the hospital. So I will have to leave a bit earlier for work to bus it or walk it, which would take about 35 mins - I may try it one day but at current level of fitness its not an option.
Steve playing cricket tomorrow for Mark's team, they are at home so I may go and watch if the weather is good. Steve's school cricket coaching starts next week - he is going to coach the youngest year group ( in the UK they would be year nine)
Trying to plan a weekend away in March for our wedding anniversary - Steve has promised me we dont have to camp regardless of money situation! Our shipping boxes are due to arrive any day - they are with customs at the moment. Luckily it was no problem to change delivery address, so they are coming straight to the flat. It will be like Christmas again opening them up. Fingers crossed no damage or worse - no insects have stowed away during the long boat ride - ugghh.
Hopefully catching up with Andy McKay and his girlfriend, Alanna on Sunday. There is a food and wine festival on the North Shore - Devonport. So we may head there. If not, Chinese New Year celebrations start in the CBD on Sunday so it would be nice to see that. Auckland has a large Chinese community and I think there are lots of NY events taking place over next two weeks.
Have a nice weekend.
