Waitangi day has been and gone. Celebrations seemed livelier in London than here. Although the weather wasn’t great, which may not have helped. Sunny again today, of course, as everyone is back at work and schools officially start today.

Moving on Saturday so will be out of email/internet contact for a few days as Telecom cant set up a new line till Monday 12th. Looking forward to the new flat - I keep forgetting about the pool, it’s a real luxury isn’t it. I believe, if our letting agent is to be trusted, that it's heated so we can use it all year round.

Managed to secure two sofas from trade me at a bargain price...we have yet to see them but are collecting them on saturday from the north shore..I am addicted to trade me now and have several other items on my watchlist - although I am wiating to see how the sofa handover goes before I committ to anything else.

Steve is back at work and he is leaving early and home late. He tells me he is working hard, but I’m not sure that he isn’t watching the six nations videos that a colleague is taping from Sky.

Temp work fell through this week - found out late on Friday. However, I still have a job interview on Friday and I am speaking to a temp agency that works with University Admin jobs tomorrow. Fingers crossed that at least one of them will give me some work for next week. The holiday is so over now and I need to start working for my own sanity and for some money so we can save to do more travelling let alone pay off the debts we incurred getting here!

Nothing much else to report - its our wedding anniversary in a month! Hard to believe - so much done in the last year - time for a rest now. Hope to spend the anniversary weekend away from Auckland as we havent been on a trip here for ages.

Steve starts cricket coaching at the school in late Feb - I'm sure he will update you all on that!

So that's about it - will update you once we move in and are back online.
